About Organisation

The Victorian Veterans Council works with the Victorian Government to support Victoria’s veteran and ex-service community. It contributes to initiatives that recognise veterans, strengthen community connections and improve welfare and wellbeing outcomes. Through funding programmes, eligible organisations can deliver practical projects responding to the changing needs of veterans and their communities. The Anzac Day Proceeds Fund 2026–27 supports this mission by financing activities that improve veteran wellbeing and address underserved needs. Particular attention is given to inclusive, sustainable and collaborative initiatives that strengthen support networks and deliver meaningful benefits for veterans throughout Victoria.

About the Grant

The Anzac Day Proceeds Fund 2026–27 provides funding for organisations delivering welfare and wellbeing activities for Victoria’s veteran community. Priority is given to projects supporting women, First Nations, LGBTIQA+ and culturally diverse veterans, veterans with disability, and those experiencing service-related mental health impacts. Initiatives concerning veterans of post-1990 Australian Defence Force operations are also prioritised. The programme encourages sustainable projects and collaborative partnerships that can create benefits beyond the funding period. Statewide organisations can seek up to A$150,000, while regional organisations and sub-branches can seek up to A$50,000 across their applications.

Who can Apply?

The Anzac Day Proceeds Fund 2026–27 is available to eligible not-for-profit organisations and government entities supporting Victoria’s ex-service community. Applicants must meet the programme’s legal, financial and organisational requirements and demonstrate that their activities contribute to veteran welfare or wellbeing. Proposed projects should clearly identify beneficiaries and align with relevant funding priorities. Unincorporated organisations may be able to participate through an eligible auspice arrangement. Projects must be achievable within the required timeframe and cannot commence before the eligible activity period. Organisations should also ensure previous Victorian Government grant reporting obligations are complete before applying for new funding.

How to Apply?

Eligible organisations should review the programme guidelines and prepare information covering organisational eligibility, project objectives, target veteran communities, proposed activities, outcomes, partnerships, sustainability, timeline and budget. Applications should clearly demonstrate how the project improves veteran welfare or wellbeing and responds to programme priorities. Applicants must complete the required submission through the Victorian Government grant process and provide all requested supporting documentation before the closing deadline.
