About Organisation

PRIMA Programme is a Euro-Mediterranean initiative supported by the European Union, focused on advancing research and innovation for sustainable development in the Mediterranean region. It brings together countries from Europe and the Southern Mediterranean to address shared challenges related to water management, agriculture, food systems, and climate resilience. Through funding, partnerships, and recognition platforms like the PRIMA Young Innovators Award 2026, the organisation empowers young leaders, researchers, and entrepreneurs to create scalable, locally relevant solutions that drive environmental sustainability, economic growth, and social inclusion across the region.

About the Grant

The PRIMA Young Innovators Award 2026 is a prestigious recognition-based sustainability award celebrating young leaders who have developed impactful solutions addressing environmental, social, and economic challenges in the Southern Mediterranean. Unlike traditional sustainability grants for youth, this award acknowledges existing achievements rather than funding future projects. Two winners will each receive EUR 10,000, along with visibility, networking opportunities, and recognition at an international level. The award focuses on measurable impact, scalability, and youth empowerment, particularly encouraging women innovators. It highlights breakthrough ideas that contribute to sustainable development and positions winners as leaders in climate innovation and regional transformation.

Who can Apply?

Applicants for the PRIMA Young Innovators Award 2026 must be individuals aged 18–35 from eligible Southern Mediterranean countries, including Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Tunisia, and Türkiye. Applications can be submitted individually or as a group, provided all members meet eligibility criteria and a lead participant is designated. Organisations or legal entities are not eligible. Applicants must demonstrate leadership or significant contribution to a sustainability-focused innovation with measurable impact. Individuals affiliated with PRIMA governance or previous EU/Euratom prize winners for the same activity are excluded from applying.

How to Apply?

To apply for the PRIMA Young Innovators Award 2026, applicants must first confirm eligibility based on age, nationality, and residency. Prepare a detailed application outlining the innovation, its measurable impact, and the applicant’s role. Submissions can be individual or group-based, with a designated lead participant. Ensure compliance with PRIMA’s ethical and financial standards. Applications will be evaluated based on innovation, scalability, and sustainability impact.
