Who can Apply?

Researchers may submit more than one proposal, but each application must clearly align with one of the programme’s designated 2026 research focus areas. How to Apply?

Applicants should first submit a non-confidential research proposal describing the project concept, innovation and relevance to one of the 2026 focus areas. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to submit a confidential full proposal and participate in collaborative workshops with Merck scientists. Following technical evaluation and discussions, successful applicants will enter research collaboration agreements before project implementation.
