Through this opportunity, WFP seeks a qualified local communication partner to support Social and Behaviour Change Communication activities. The selected organisation will help translate technical information into practical, culturally appropriate and accessible messages that encourage communities to adopt positive behaviours related to climate adaptation, disaster preparedness, energy, water conservation and nutrition.
About the Grant
The WFP Kyrgyzstan SBCC Communication Opportunity seeks a qualified local organisation to design and implement communication, media and digital outreach activities supporting Social and Behaviour Change Communication. The initiative focuses on vulnerable and food-insecure communities in Jalal-Abad, Osh, Batken and Naryn oblasts. Campaigns will encourage practical actions related to climate change adaptation, disaster risk reduction, energy and water conservation, nutrition-sensitive practices and community resilience. The selected partner will develop evidence-based communication products in Kyrgyz and Russian, using television, radio, social media, digital platforms, printed materials and community outreach. The initiative forms part of projects supported by the Green Climate Fund and Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.
Who can Apply?
The opportunity is intended for qualified local organisations in Kyrgyzstan with relevant communication, public awareness or SBCC experience. Applicants should have at least three years of experience implementing communication, public awareness and/or Social and Behaviour Change Communication programmes. Organisations should demonstrate relevant sector expertise, strong project management capacity and experience producing multimedia communication materials. Experience in climate change, environmental protection, disaster risk reduction, resilience, community outreach or related public awareness activities is particularly relevant. Applicants should demonstrate the ability to design and deliver campaigns through multiple communication channels and develop culturally appropriate materials in Kyrgyz and Russian. Experience working with vulnerable communities and behaviour-change initiatives can further strengthen the proposal.
How to Apply?
Eligible organisations should confirm their local status, relevant experience and project-management capacity. Review the available formative research and SBCC strategy, identify communication and behavioural gaps, and develop a clear campaign methodology. Explain the proposed audiences, messages, Kyrgyz and Russian content strategy, media and digital channels, multimedia production approach, monitoring framework and implementation plan. Provide evidence of previous relevant campaigns and demonstrate cost-effectiveness. Submit the completed proposal according to WFP requirements before the deadline.
