About Organisation
The International AIDS Society (IAS) is the world’s leading independent association of HIV professionals, focused on advancing science to combat HIV. Founded in 1988, IAS unites scientists, healthcare providers, and activists from across the globe to enhance research, improve access to care, and foster education and policy efforts aimed at ending the AIDS epidemic. The IAS organizes global conferences, promotes HIV research, and supports initiatives to improve health systems, with a strong emphasis on inclusivity and empowerment of communities affected by HIV. Through its efforts, the IAS advocates for better policies and better lives for people living with HIV, prioritizing the voices of young people, particularly those who are directly impacted by HIV. Its Youth Hub Seed Grant Programme embodies this mission by offering mentorship and resources to support innovative solutions for young people living with and affected by HIV.
About the Grant
The IAS is offering seed grants through its Youth Hub Seed Grant Programme to support five Young Leaders in scaling up HIV-related innovation projects. The programme will fund projects that address specific, locally defined needs for young people living with and affected by HIV. Each selected Young Leader will receive a grant of up to USD 10,000 to implement a six-month project from April to October 2025. In addition to funding, the IAS will provide tailored capacity-building workshops on monitoring and evaluation, reporting, and communications. Participants will gain valuable skills in advocacy, leadership, and public speaking, as well as access to an extensive network of change-makers. The Young Leaders will also have the opportunity to attend the IAS 2025 conference in Kigali, Rwanda, where they will participate in the Young Leaders Programme to amplify their impact in the global HIV response.
