About Organisation
HCLFoundation, the CSR arm of HCLTech, was established in 2015 with a vision to uplift underserved rural communities through impactful partnerships with credible NGOs across India. Committed to sustainable socio-economic development, the Foundation promotes transformative initiatives under its flagship HCLTech Grant program. The Foundation focuses on projects that demonstrate measurable impact, long-term scalability, and innovation in rural development. With a mission to empower marginalized populations, HCLFoundation encourages the participation of NGOs with proven capabilities, high integrity, and a deep-rooted understanding of rural challenges. Through collaborations that emphasize transparency, accountability, and community engagement, HCLFoundation aims to create a ripple effect of positive change. The launch of a new grant category this year reflects HCLFoundation’s continuous evolution and dedication to broader and deeper impact in rural India. The organization now supports projects in four crucial areas—Water, Biodiversity, Health, and Education—signifying a holistic approach to rural upliftment.
About the Grant
The HCLTech Grant, a premier CSR initiative by HCLFoundation, is designed to recognize and support exceptional NGOs working in rural India. Launched in 2015, the Grant has become a beacon of transformation by funding high-impact projects that deliver sustainable change. Now in its eleventh edition, the Grant has expanded its scope by adding ‘Water’ as a new thematic category, alongside Biodiversity, Health, and Education. Each year, one NGO from each of these four categories will be awarded a grant of ₹5 Crore for a four-year project. Additionally, eight other NGOs (two from each category) will receive ₹50 Lakhs each for a two-year project. This strategic increase in funding and duration underscores HCLFoundation’s commitment to enabling long-term, scalable solutions that address complex rural challenges. The HCLTech Grant not only provides financial assistance but also amplifies the voices and work of grassroots organizations through visibility and recognition on national platforms.
Who can Apply?
Only NGOs operating in rural areas of India are eligible to apply for the HCLTech Grant.
