The Whitley Fund for Nature (WFN) is inviting nominations for the Whitley Awards, which provide financial support to accomplished conservationists at the midpoint of their careers who are spearheading wildlife conservation initiatives in the Global South.
Through the Whitley Awards, grassroots conservation leaders in the Global South are funded and their exceptional work is brought to the attention of the international community.
About the Grant
The Whitley Awards fund grassroots conservation leaders within the Global South and put a global highlight on winners’ work. The supply is well worth £50,000 in mission investment and supports tasks that start in, or shortly after June 2025 and close no longer than twelve months.
Who can Apply?
- Nationals with local support running for or leading locally included NGOs inside the Global South.
- The tasks should be based totally on international locations that aren’t defined as a High Income Economy by using the World Bank.
- Exceptions to this criterion include Equatorial Guinea and certain island international locations inside the Caribbean.
