Who can Apply?

The Global Initiatives Grant Program is open to individuals and teams worldwide. The primary applicant must hold a PhD in anthropology or a related field and be affiliated with an institution capable of implementing and sustaining the project. Graduate students may participate as co-applicants. Applicants must demonstrate the ability to deliver impactful public-facing initiatives and ensure long-term sustainability. Only one application per applicant is allowed at a time, and previous grant obligations must be completed before reapplying. Projects must align with public engagement goals and avoid including institutional overhead or administrative costs in their budgets.

How to Apply?

Applicants must first confirm eligibility, including PhD qualification and institutional affiliation. A strong proposal should outline the public issue, target audience, project activities, and expected outcomes. The application must clearly demonstrate public engagement, sustainability, and alignment with priority themes. A detailed budget excluding overhead costs is required. Applicants should submit only one well-developed proposal that highlights innovation, feasibility, and impact beyond academic research.
