About the Grant

Aparajita, in collaboration with J-PAL South Asia, introduces GBV Solve: Open Funding Call to empower individuals and organizations with innovative ideas addressing sexual harassment and gender-based violence in India. This initiative seeks to bridge the gap between awareness and actionable change by supporting evidence-backed solutions that prevent and respond to GBV outside the home.

The grant aims to support practical, scalable, and sustainable programs that address the root causes of GBV, build awareness, offer support to affected individuals, and promote behavior change. Along with financial assistance, awardees will receive technical support from J-PAL experts to evaluate the impact of their programs through randomized control trials.

This funding opportunity offers not only the chance to receive implementation support but also access to the Evaluation Incubator, where participants will gain guidance in program design, partnership-building with researchers, and learnings from impact evaluation practices.

By investing in solutions with strong potential to scale and measurable outcomes, GBV Solve strives to generate actionable evidence and long-term change in how India tackles sexual harassment and gender-based violence across multiple settings.
