About Organisation
The Asia-Pacific Network for Sustainable Forest Management and Rehabilitation (APFNet) is an international non-profit organization established in 2008 to promote sustainable forest management and ecosystem restoration across the Asia-Pacific region. APFNet supports countries and organizations through funding, technical cooperation, capacity building, policy dialogue, and knowledge sharing initiatives. Working closely with governments, research institutions, civil society organizations, and development partners, APFNet aims to strengthen forest resilience, conserve biodiversity, address climate change challenges, and improve livelihoods dependent on forest resources. Its programs contribute to sustainable development while fostering regional collaboration and innovation in forestry practices.
About the Grant
The APFNet Call for Projects 2026 is the first funding opportunity launched under APFNet’s Fourth Strategic Plan (2026–2030). After a three-year pause, the program returns with a stronger focus on climate action, biodiversity conservation, sustainable livelihoods, and innovative forestry solutions. The grant supports projects that advance forest landscape restoration, digital forestry technologies, policy development, institutional strengthening, and knowledge exchange across the Asia-Pacific region. Through this initiative, APFNet seeks to fund impactful projects that demonstrate sustainable forest management practices, enhance regional cooperation, and generate long-term environmental and socio-economic benefits for participating economies and communities.
