About the Grant

Eligible applicants include state, county, city or township, and special district governments; public and private higher education institutions; independent school districts; public and Indian housing authorities; federally recognized Native American tribal governments and tribal organizations; eligible nonprofit organizations; and qualifying for-profit organizations other than small businesses. Applicants should have relevant capabilities in public health, epidemiology, travel medicine, health surveillance, digital health, medical research, international health, or healthcare education. Organizations must demonstrate the capacity to conduct rigorous research, collect and analyze health information, communicate findings, and support traveler health. Proposed activities should clearly address international travel health and surveillance needs.

Proposals should explain how health information will be collected, analyzed, and used to identify emerging threats.
