Application Deadline:
Sep 15, 2024
About Organisation
Since its established order in 2002 via the merger of the International Society of Arboriculture Research Trust and the National Arborist Foundation, the Tree Research and Education Endowment Fund (TREE Fund) has been instrumental in shaping the future of timber, the arboriculture profession, and the world itself.
The corporation has fulfilled its undertaking by means of identifying and investment packages that sell the discovery and dissemination of recent understanding in arboriculture and urban forestry. This commitment is evidenced by over $5.4 million offered in grants.
About the Grant
The John Z. Duling Grant Program was created and endowed through a bequest from the estate of John Z. Duling, a dedicated research advocate from Indiana. Notably, Mr. Duling proposed the establishment of the ISA Research Trust in 1972. The program’s objective is to award seed funding for innovative research and technology transfer projects with the potential to improve the daily work of arborists.
Grants are provided to support exploratory research in the initial stages of untested yet potentially transformative ideas and approaches. This may encompass the application of novel methodologies to existing research questions or the integration of new expertise from various disciplines or interdisciplinary fields.
