About Organisation
The Migration Youth and Children Platform (MYCP) is a youth-led initiative committed to empowering young changemakers to address pressing global issues. Focused on uplifting the voices and actions of youth, MYCP provides platforms, resources, and funding to support impactful, community-driven work. The organization believes in nurturing innovative, bold, and inclusive solutions from young leaders who bring lived experiences to the forefront. By fostering collaboration and capacity building, MYCP strengthens the work of young activists and organizations, particularly those engaged in the areas of gender justice, health, climate mobility, and the rights of displaced persons. Their commitment lies in amplifying youth-led efforts to create lasting, meaningful impact in communities that need it most. MYCP also understands the importance of internal team well-being and supports initiatives that promote mental health and emotional resilience among changemakers. Geared toward global outreach, the platform prioritizes work in regions such as Latin America, the Caribbean, Africa, South West Asia, North Africa (MENA), and Asia-Pacific. MYCP believes in equitable opportunities for all, ensuring support reaches groups and individuals with limited access to mainstream funding. With a strong emphasis on authenticity, creativity, and local relevance, MYCP serves as a catalyst for grassroots transformation powered by young leaders.
About the Grant
The MYCP Igniting Impact Micro-Grants Programme 2025 aims to support youth-led groups and organizations making meaningful change in their communities. Designed to address small funding gaps in impactful projects, this grant empowers young leaders to continue or expand their work in gender justice, climate mobility, health access, and support for displaced persons. Whether it’s a grassroots campaign, legal aid for refugees, sustainable job training, or mental health support for team members, MYCP provides flexible funding that meets real needs on the ground.
Grants range from €500 to €750 and are intended for community interest companies (CICs), nonprofits, and active unregistered youth-led groups. In addition to advancing direct project goals, the funds may be used to support internal team well-being and resilience, recognizing that strong teams drive stronger impact. MYCP prioritizes projects with a clear vision, community involvement, and a proven record of work, rather than entirely new ventures.
Applicants are encouraged to think creatively and boldly—MYCP values fresh ideas and original storytelling. AI-generated applications are discouraged, with preference given to authentic voices. All applications must be submitted in English and fully completed for consideration. This grant reflects MYCP’s broader mission to support grassroots solutions that are both realistic and transformative.
Who can Apply?
The MYCP Igniting Impact Micro-Grants are open to a wide range of youth-led groups, including nonprofits, Community Interest Companies (CICs), and even active unregistered collectives. To be eligible, applicants must be youth-led—this means that decision-making authority must lie with individuals under the age of 30. The initiative must aim to directly benefit displaced persons or marginalized communities, and work should be focused in one or more of the following regions: Latin America, the Caribbean, Africa, South West Asia, North Africa (MENA), or Asia-Pacific.
Projects should address key global issues such as gender justice, health access for women and girls, human trafficking, mental health, climate adaptation, and climate-resilient livelihoods. The fund particularly welcomes existing projects that require small-scale financial support to continue or expand their operations, rather than proposals for brand-new ideas.
Applicants must demonstrate a realistic, community-driven, and impactful approach. Creative, inclusive, and locally relevant solutions are highly encouraged. MYCP also supports projects that invest in team well-being, including respite and mental health care for members. Applications must be fully completed in English. MYCP will not consider proposals from political groups or any entities involved in exploitative or harmful activities. Authenticity in application writing is highly valued.
How to Apply?
Eligible applicants must complete and submit their applications in English, ensuring all sections are filled out in full. The application should clearly demonstrate the project’s impact, community involvement, and youth leadership. AI-generated content is discouraged. Proposals should reflect genuine voices and bold, innovative ideas. Only fully completed applications will be considered for funding. MYCP encourages creative, realistic proposals that show a clear understanding of community needs and potential solutions.
