About Organisation
The Workforce Participation and Training Program is an Australian funding initiative dedicated to increasing workforce participation and improving employment outcomes across Tasmania. The program supports collaborative projects that address barriers preventing individuals from accessing education, training, and sustainable employment opportunities. Through partnerships between community organisations, employers, training providers, and other stakeholders, the initiative promotes workforce development, skills enhancement, and social inclusion. By investing in place-based and cohort-focused solutions, the program aims to strengthen employment pathways for underrepresented groups. The initiative encourages innovative approaches that create measurable impacts and contribute to long-term economic and community development across Tasmania.
About the Grant
The Workforce Participation and Training Program 2026 Australia provides funding for projects that help underrepresented Tasmanians access training, employment, and workforce participation opportunities. The program focuses on improving work readiness, learning readiness, vocational skills, and employment outcomes through targeted support services. Funded projects may include foundation skills programs, work placements, employment trials, supported training, and innovative workforce development initiatives. The grant also supports participant assistance such as transport, childcare, and engagement activities linked to project delivery. Through this workforce development funding opportunity, successful projects are expected to deliver measurable employment outcomes and strengthen pathways into sustainable work.
