About Organisation
SBI Foundation is the CSR arm of the State Bank of India, established to support social development and create sustainable impact across communities in India. Through its initiatives, the Foundation works in areas such as education, healthcare, livelihood development, rural development, environmental sustainability and institutional strengthening.
About the Grant
The SBI Foundation NGO Capacity Building Programme aims to strengthen the operational and organisational capabilities of non-profit organisations across India. Through this initiative, SBI Foundation is inviting proposals from organisations capable of designing and implementing structured capacity-building interventions for NGOs.
The programme focuses on three tracks: Incubation, Acceleration and Advanced Capacity Building. Its interventions are expected to address important organisational requirements, including governance systems, statutory compliance, financial management, organisational strategy, fundraising, monitoring and evaluation, leadership development and technology adoption.
The initiative aims to help participating NGOs improve their institutional effectiveness, strengthen internal systems and develop the organisational capabilities needed to deliver sustainable social impact.
Who can Apply?
Eligible applicants include registered NGOs and non-profit organisations with relevant experience in organisational development and NGO capacity building. Non-profit organisations may also apply in partnership or consortium with expert agencies possessing the required technical expertise. Applicants should carefully review the official Request for Proposals, including the experience requirements, documentation checklist, technical evaluation criteria and financial proposal requirements.
Importantly, this opportunity is intended for organisations that can deliver capacity-building services to other NGOs. It is not a direct funding opportunity for an NGO seeking to strengthen its own internal capacity.
How to Apply?
Interested organisations should visit the SBI Foundation’s official Request for Proposals portal and download the relevant RFP documents, application formats and annexures. Applicants must prepare their technical and financial proposals in accordance with the prescribed requirements and submit the completed proposal through the official submission channel specified in the RFP.
