The Centre for Cellular and Molecular Platforms (C-CAMP) is a premier life sciences innovation hub established by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, in 2009. Based in Bengaluru, C-CAMP is part of the Bangalore Life Sciences Cluster alongside the National Centre for Biological Sciences and the Institute for Stem Cell Science and Regenerative Medicine. The organisation provides world-class research infrastructure, technology platforms, incubation support, and industry partnerships to accelerate scientific innovation. About the Grant
The SAATHI Social Alliance for Accelerating Transformative & High-impact Innovations Programme 2026 is a social innovation programme in India designed to identify, nurture, and scale deeptech and grassroots innovations with significant societal impact. The initiative will support 25 promising innovations annually through customised mentoring, product validation, commercialization support, and access to India’s leading research laboratories. Backed by the Gates Foundation and a strong network of incubators, academic institutions, and ecosystem partners, the programme focuses on solutions in health, climate, agriculture, sustainability, livelihood, and life sciences. SAATHI enables innovators to transform research-based ideas into scalable, community-focused solutions.
Who can Apply?
The programme is open to individual innovators, grassroots innovators, social entrepreneurs, and early-stage or growth-stage startups registered in India. Applicants should be developing science- and technology-driven solutions that create measurable social impact. Eligible innovations may focus on HealthTech, AgriTech, sustainability, environmental technologies, clean and renewable energy, water and sanitation, or other life science and bio-based sectors. Applicants should demonstrate innovation potential, scalability, and a commitment to solving real-world challenges. Projects at different stages of development are encouraged to apply if they can benefit from mentorship, validation support, research infrastructure, and commercialization guidance.
How to Apply?
Eligible innovators should prepare their application with complete details of their innovation, its societal impact, and stage of development. Applications should clearly explain the problem being addressed, the proposed solution, and future scaling plans.
