Rise Up is a globally recognized nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing gender equity, justice, and social transformation by investing in visionary local leaders. With a presence in multiple regions worldwide, Rise Up supports civil society leaders who are passionate about creating sustainable change in their communities. The organization operates through a unique model that combines leadership development, capacity building, technical assistance, and strategic funding. Since its inception, Rise Up has empowered over 800 leaders across the globe who have played a crucial role in influencing more than 218 new and improved laws and policies. These impactful changes have positively affected the lives of over 172 million people, particularly women, girls, and marginalized communities. Rise Up’s upcoming initiative in Rajasthan, India, aims to further its mission of gender justice by engaging a new cohort of committed leaders from the region.

Rise Up is launching its Leadership Accelerator program in 2025 to empower local civil society leaders in Rajasthan, India, who are committed to promoting gender equity and justice. This transformative grant initiative will support 25 visionary leaders selected through a competitive process to participate in a hybrid training program that blends in-person and virtual learning. The Accelerator offers intensive leadership development, capacity building, strategic project funding, and ongoing technical support. Participants will gain the skills and tools needed to implement initiatives that improve access to education, health care, and economic opportunities for women, girls, and gender-nonconforming individuals in Rajasthan.

The program is part of Rise Up’s global strategy to foster sustainable leadership at the grassroots level, ensuring long-term impact through community-driven solutions. By participating in this program, selected leaders will also join a broader network of over 800 change-makers worldwide who have successfully driven systemic change. Through this initiative, Rise Up aims to enable local leaders in Rajasthan to develop and launch effective advocacy strategies, shape inclusive policies, and create environments that support gender equality and social justice. The program is designed to be highly collaborative and action-oriented, ensuring participants can translate training into impactful community interventions.
