About the Grant
The IFA Arts Practice Programme Productions Grant supports artists seeking to expand and experiment with their creative practices. It encourages projects that challenge traditional artistic boundaries and explore new forms, mediums, and audience engagement. The programme welcomes diverse formats, including theatre, dance, music, visual arts, literature, digital works, and interdisciplinary projects. It emphasizes innovation and experimentation beyond conventional storytelling formats. Selected projects can run for up to 18 months and are implemented by IFA. This grant aims to nurture artistic inquiry and help creators reimagine their practice while contributing to contemporary arts and culture in India.
Who can Apply?
The grant is open to individual Indian artists and practitioners across disciplines, including performing arts, visual arts, literature, and interdisciplinary fields. Applicants must be Indian nationals with valid identification such as PAN card, Aadhaar, passport, or voter ID. Organizations are not eligible. Collaborators, if any, must also be Indian nationals. Applicants must have a clean track record with IFA, with no history of financial or project-related non-compliance. Individuals currently engaged in ongoing IFA projects or previously restricted from applying are not eligible. Joint applications are allowed if applicants share a joint bank account.
How to Apply?
Applicants must submit their proposals through the official application process after discussing their project ideas with IFA. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to present their proposals to an external evaluation panel. All selected projects will be implemented by IFA. Applicants should ensure their proposals clearly reflect innovation, experimentation, and alignment with the programme objectives.
