About the Grant
The Future For Nature (FFN) Award honors exceptional young conservationists (35 and under) from around the world. Expert committees pick nominees, and three winners emerge from this group. Each winner gets €50,000 and the respected FFN Award to put into action their conservation projects.
FFN also gives ongoing help by boosting visibility creating networking chances, and opening doors to more funding. The FFN Academy sparks interest in future generations and links winners to build a strong network for long-term change.
Who can Apply?
- You need to show long-lasting major gains for at least one species.
- You must prove your dedication, enthusiasm, and ability to guide others in conservation.
- You should come up with new and clever ways to protect nature.
- Your conservation work has to follow ethical guidelines.
- You have to promise to keep up your conservation work after you win.
- You need to speak English well enough to talk about your work.
- You must use your €50,000 prize to fund your own project to save a species.
Additional Remarks:
- The chosen candidates will showcase their projects at the Future For Nature Award gathering in May 2025. This event will take place at Royal Burgers’ Zoo in Arnhem Netherlands. The organizers will cover the costs of travel and accommodation for the winners.
- Parent organizations can’t make administrative deductions.
- The selection process will narrow down the applicants to 6-10 finalists. These finalists might need to provide extra details such as photos or videos, to help pick the top 3 winners.
