About the Grant
The Biennials Connect Grants, offered by the British Council, support visual artists’ participation in UK and international festivals. Grants facilitate travel, production of new work, networking, and skills development.
They also promote cross-cultural exchange, enabling artists and festivals to forge global partnerships. Grants range from £5,000 to £10,000, depending on the location of the biennial/festival and the artist’s country of origin.
Who can Apply?
- Applications are open to UK or international biennials and festivals focused on visual arts.
- Eligible organizations must be based in the UK or in specific international countries (ODA and non-ODA).
- They must support artists over 18, who can travel internationally.
- Multi-arts festivals can apply if they emphasize visual arts.
- Organizations must either collaborate with new or previously engaged artists, ensuring valid travel documentation is arranged.
