Through various initiatives, including public seminars, fellowships, study tours, and publications, the HBS advances its mission by fostering discussions, supporting research, and encouraging action on critical global issues such as climate change, gender rights, and democracy.

About the Fellowship

The Feminist Foreign & Development Policy Fellowship is designed to empower emerging feminist leaders from the Global South by providing an opportunity to attend the 2025 Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) in New York City. The fellowship aims to support feminist experts in development and foreign policy, enabling them to engage in discussions, network, and contribute to feminist policy discourse. Fellows will receive support for travel, accommodation, and conference-related costs, including visa processing and health insurance. They will also gain visibility through social media engagement and build connections with global feminist networks, enabling them to continue advocating for feminist foreign policies and gender equality.

Who can Apply?

The fellowship is open to emerging or experienced leaders, activists, and professionals focused on feminist development and foreign policy. Eligible candidates include civil society leaders, elected officials, academics, or private-sector entrepreneurs engaged in gender equality, human rights, or decolonial struggles. The program prioritizes young feminists (21-35 years) who have not previously attended a CSW. Candidates from Latin America, Africa, Asia, the Middle East, Caucasus Region, and Eastern Europe are encouraged to apply.

How to Apply?

To apply, submit a US-format resume (max 2 pages) including your age and a 300-word motivational statement reflecting on the biggest challenge in gender equality and how your participation at the CSW will address it.
