About the Grant

The ONSIDE Fund Program offers unrestricted funding to support feminist organizing and movements leveraging sports to advance gender justice. By providing financial resources, the Fund empowers grassroots groups and organizations to champion the rights of girls, women, and non-binary people in sports at all levels. Funding amounts available include USD 5,000, USD 7,500, and USD 10,000 for groups. Individual applicants from the MENA region can request USD 2,500 or USD 5,000. The initiative emphasizes participatory and equitable decision-making, ensuring that those directly affected by gender issues are at the forefront of the change. Key priorities include diversity, intersectionality, and self-led leadership, focusing on empowering those most impacted by gender disparities in various regions, especially within the realms of disability and gender justice.

Who can Apply?

This global call for proposals encourages applications from all five regions served by the ONSIDE Fund. Eligible applicants include grassroots groups, collectives, and organizations that align with the Fund’s mission and vision. To qualify for funding, applicants must be led by girls, women, and/or non-binary persons and governed by feminist principles. Additionally, their annual organizational income should not exceed USD 100,000. Individual applicants from the Middle East and North Africa region must self-identify as girls, women, or non-binary persons, also aligning with the Fund’s vision and governance principles. However, organizations currently receiving or having received funding from ONSIDE in the past are not eligible to apply.

Interested applicants should prepare their proposals in accordance with the Fund’s guidelines and submit them before the deadline. Ensure alignment with the mission and vision of the ONSIDE Fund when drafting your proposal.
