About Organisation
The IDFA Bertha Fund (IBF) is a unique initiative dedicated to supporting the creative documentary sector across Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, Latin America, the Caribbean, and Oceania. It empowers filmmakers by helping them articulate their artistic visions through compelling stories and strong visual techniques. The fund takes risks on both emerging and established filmmakers, promoting their work from marginalized backgrounds to prestigious platforms. Many documentaries funded by IBF have achieved critical acclaim, winning awards in cinema and television. Additionally, the IBF utilizes the resources and reach of IDFA to provide filmmakers with tailored consultancies, talent development programs, and access to international markets, further enhancing their creative journey.
