Empowering Change: NORE Foundation Grant Opportunity

Established in 1988, NORE Foundation envisions building a more just, equitable, humane, and sustainable society, focusing on India. It operates extensively through its own initiatives and collaborations, addressing critical areas like education, equity, and human well-being. The Foundation was founded by NORE, who has donated a significant portion of his wealth for philanthropic purposes, creating an endowment valued at approximately INR 600 crore (as of January 2023). The Foundation supports social entrepreneurs and small organizations through a fiscal sponsorship model, providing administrative resources, mentoring, and infrastructure. By empowering leaders with innovative ideas, NORE Foundation helps turn concepts into impactful actions, fostering change at the grassroots level.

NORE Foundation invites grant applications from early-stage, not-for-profit organizations working directly with vulnerable and marginalized communities in Chhattisgarh, Himachal Pradesh, Gujarat, and Jharkhand. The grant aims to foster innovation and support new organizations in their initial stages by providing small grants for a two-year period. This funding helps organizations refine their interventions, strengthen their systems, and demonstrate early impact. The grant is aligned with NORE’s mission to energize the civil society ecosystem and address socio-economic challenges. Preference is given to organizations registered after April 2020, encouraging fresh ideas and new energy in the sector.
