The organization has helped over 50 early-stage ventures scale their impact, attracting substantial follow-up funding. MCV has deployed more than $3 million in funding to real-world crypto projects, benefiting over 40,000 people across emerging markets.
About the Grant
The Crypto For Good Fund (C4G), launched by Mercy Corps Ventures, provides equity-free funding to web3 and blockchain-based solutions targeting financial inclusion and climate resilience in the Global South. The fund’s goal is to support real-world web3 use cases that can drive positive, scalable impact in emerging markets. With over 500 applicants in previous rounds, the fund has launched over 20 pilots addressing challenges in sectors like finance, climate, and humanitarian aid. The fourth edition of the C4G Fund continues to focus on innovations that can improve lives in underserved communities by harnessing blockchain technology.
Who can Apply?
Startups and organizations from the Global South, including Africa, South Asia, Southeast Asia, Latin America, the Caribbean, the Middle East, and Western Balkans, are eligible to apply. Applicants should focus on applying web3 technologies to solve real-world challenges, particularly in financial inclusion or climate resilience. Eligible organizations must have an innovative, scalable web3 solution, with a clear plan for impact. The fund is open to both for-profit and nonprofit entities. Applicants should demonstrate how their solution benefits underserved populations and contributes to creating more inclusive, resilient communities.
How to Apply?
Submit an application form with a detailed description of your project, the problem it addresses, and the proposed solution. Include a short video (under 5 minutes) explaining why your solution is important. Shortlisted applicants will be invited for a virtual interview.
