About the Grant

The CapitaLand Community Resilience Initiative provides financial support to nonprofit organizations working in China, India, Singapore, and Vietnam. It focuses on strengthening community resilience by funding solutions in education, skills development, physical health, and mental well-being for children and youth up to the age of 21. Organizations must present a well-structured plan demonstrating scalability, feasibility, and measurable impact. The initiative seeks to empower young individuals by providing access to quality education, skill-building opportunities, and health resources. By fostering these fundamental areas, the initiative aims to ensure sustainable development and economic growth for communities. The grant is designed to help organizations expand their reach and effectiveness, equipping young people with the resources needed to navigate adversity. Joint applications from multiple organizations are allowed, provided there is a designated lead applicant. The program evaluates applications based on impact potential, sustainability, and organizational capacity. Organizations must submit audited financial reports for the past two years to qualify. The initiative ensures transparency and accountability in the selection process, with a dedicated Grant Committee assessing each application. Successful applicants will receive funding and guidance to enhance their initiatives, ultimately fostering stronger, more resilient communities.

Who can Apply?

To be eligible for the CapitaLand Community Resilience Initiative grant, organizations must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a legally registered nonprofit organization.
  • Should operate in one of the four target markets: China, India, Singapore, or Vietnam.
  • Must have a well-defined project plan with clear potential for scalability, feasibility, and positive impact.
  • Should provide audited financial reports for the last two years.
  • Joint applications are permitted, but one lead organization must be responsible for submitting the application.

Organizations that cannot apply include:

  • Religious organizations.
  • Politically affiliated organizations.
  • Entities listed under US or EU sanctions or blacklisted by any UN or international agency.

Eligible organizations must work in one or more of the following focus areas for children and youth (up to 21 years old):

  • Education: Programs that enhance learning opportunities.
  • Skills Development: Initiatives that provide vocational training and future employment prospects.
  • Physical Health: Projects aimed at improving nutrition, medical care, and physical well-being.
  • Mental Health & Well-Being Support: Programs that provide emotional and psychological assistance.

How to Apply?

Interested nonprofit organizations can apply by submitting a detailed application form during the application period. The form should include a comprehensive project description, evidence of scalability and impact, and supporting financial documents. Joint applications are allowed, but a lead applicant must be designated. Information sessions will be held to guide applicants through the process.
