About Organisation
The Council on Energy, Environment and Water (CEEW) is an independent policy research institution working on energy, environment, climate and sustainable development issues in India and beyond. CEEW brings together research, policy engagement and partnerships to support evidence-based solutions for complex environmental and development challenges. Through The Greenprint, its flagship annual sustainability convening, CEEW connects leaders from government, business, philanthropy, academia and civil society. The Greenprint Awards provide a national platform for recognising individuals and organisations creating measurable climate and sustainability impact. The awards highlight innovations, leadership and collaborative approaches supporting India’s transition towards a low-carbon, climate-resilient and inclusive future.
About the Grant
The Greenprint GET Breakthrough Innovation Award 2027 is an award category recognising startups whose innovations are reshaping green economy ecosystems. The award focuses on solutions that address systemic bottlenecks, create shared capabilities or markets, and enable progress beyond the success of an individual enterprise. It is part of the Green Ecosystem Transformation (GET) Awards, presented in partnership with the CEEW Green Economy Council. The initiative aims to highlight scalable innovations that contribute to broader climate and sustainability transformation in India. Selected award recipients receive recognition and opportunities for visibility, mentorship, networking and strategic engagement through The Greenprint platform.
Who can Apply?
The GET Breakthrough Innovation category is intended for startups based in India whose innovations are contributing to systemic transformation within the green economy. Applicants should demonstrate how their solution addresses an important bottleneck, enables new capabilities or markets, or supports progress across a wider ecosystem. The impact should extend beyond the startup itself and demonstrate relevance to broader green economy transformation. Applicants must submit under only one Greenprint Awards category and satisfy the category-specific requirements. The award is particularly relevant to Indian startups developing innovative solutions that contribute to climate action, sustainability, resource efficiency or inclusive green economic development.
How to Apply?
Eligible startups should apply through the Greenprint Awards application process before the closing date. Applicants should select the GET Breakthrough Innovation category and provide accurate information about their organisation, innovation, impact and contribution to the green economy. Supporting evidence should clearly demonstrate the systemic significance of the solution. Applicants should review the category requirements and terms before submitting. Only one category may be selected by each applicant. There is no entry fee for the Greenprint Awards.
