CEEW organises The Greenprint, an annual sustainability convening bringing together policymakers, businesses, investors, philanthropies, researchers and civil society leaders. The Greenprint Awards recognise individuals and organisations creating meaningful climate and sustainability impact across India. Through categories including Art and Culture, the awards also recognise creative approaches that communicate environmental challenges, make climate change more relatable and encourage wider public understanding and action.
About the Grant
The Greenprint Art and Culture Award 2027 recognises an individual or organisation using storytelling to make climate change more accessible, relatable and action-oriented. The category celebrates creative work produced through film, literature, photography, sculpture, installations, paintings, digital media or other creative formats. It highlights stories that contribute to public understanding, inspire hope and encourage climate ambition. The applicant must be a woman associated with the production in a key manner. Selected recipients receive recognition through The Greenprint Awards along with opportunities for media amplification, mentorship, strategic engagement and networking with leaders working across climate and sustainability.
Who can Apply?
The award is open to an individual or organisation based in India that has used creative storytelling to communicate climate change and sustainability issues. Eligible creative formats include film, literature, photography, sculpture, installations, paintings, digital media and other relevant forms of artistic expression. The work should make climate change more accessible, relatable and action-oriented or contribute meaningfully to public understanding. Importantly, the applicant must be a woman associated with the production in a key manner. Applicants must satisfy the category-specific requirements and can submit an application under only one Greenprint Awards category.
How to Apply?
Applicants should submit their application through the Greenprint Awards process under the Art and Culture category. The submission should explain the creative work, its climate or sustainability relevance, the applicant’s role and the impact of the storytelling. Applicants should provide accurate information and any required supporting materials demonstrating the work’s contribution to climate communication.
