The United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) is the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative, engaging over 20,000 businesses and stakeholders across 167 countries. Established to promote responsible business practices, the UNGC encourages companies to align strategies and operations with ten universal principles related to human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption. It also supports the advancement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by fostering collaboration between businesses, governments, and civil society to create a more sustainable and inclusive global economy.
About the Grant
The SDG Innovation Accelerator for Young Professionals is a nine-month programme designed for employees of companies participating in the UN Global Compact. It aims to empower emerging leaders to co-create business innovations that advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Through a mix of experiential learning, mentorship, and collaboration, participants explore cutting-edge technologies and sustainable business models to address real-world challenges. The programme nurtures creativity, leadership, and strategic thinking among young professionals, positioning them to drive corporate sustainability and long-term impact within their organizations.
Who can Apply?
Applications are open to companies that are members of the UN Global Compact Network. Each participating company can nominate its young professionals who demonstrate leadership potential, creativity, and a commitment to sustainability. Ideal candidates are employees passionate about driving innovation aligned with the SDGs. Organizations from all industries and regions within the UNGC network are encouraged to apply. The programme is suited for companies seeking to enhance their sustainability goals through collaborative innovation and employee engagement.

Interested companies must complete the application form with details about their organization and nominated participants. Applications are processed through the respective UN Global Compact Country Network, which will confirm participation upon review.
