About Organisation
Womankind Worldwide is a global women’s rights organisation dedicated to supporting women’s rights organisations and movements across the world. With a strong belief in the power of women to transform their own lives and communities, the organisation partners with local groups to amplify their voices and drive sustainable change. Womankind envisions a just and equitable world where the rights of all women and girls are respected, valued, and fully realised.
The organisation works towards three central aims: ending all forms of violence against women and girls, advancing women’s economic rights, and strengthening women’s leadership and decision-making power. By collaborating directly with grassroots movements and feminist organisations, Womankind ensures that the solutions are locally led and intersectional in nature. Its approach is rooted in solidarity and long-term partnerships, recognising that women’s rights are inseparable from broader struggles for social justice, equality, and dignity.
Through initiatives such as the Her Voice Fund, Womankind Worldwide not only addresses immediate resource gaps but also nurtures feminist movement building, enabling women and girls, particularly those facing multiple layers of marginalisation, to access decision-making spaces and influence policies that shape their lives.
About the Grant
The Her Voice Fund (HVF) provides flexible and responsive funding to feminist organisations and activists in the Global South, with a strong intersectional focus. The fund aims to strengthen advocacy initiatives that challenge systemic barriers, amplify marginalised voices, and influence policy at local, national, regional, and international levels.
Women’s rights and feminist organisations are often underfunded, especially in their policy-influencing work. HVF addresses this gap by supporting initiatives that seek to transform systems of inequality and discrimination, enabling grassroots and feminist actors to access critical advocacy spaces. By focusing on intersectionality, the fund ensures that women who face multiple forms of marginalisation – such as women with disabilities, LBTQI+ women, young women, and incarcerated women – are at the forefront of advocacy and decision-making processes.
The fund runs in annual cycles and is open to both existing Womankind partners and informal groups previously supported through HVF. By offering not just financial resources but also recognition and visibility, the initiative nurtures feminist leadership and encourages collaboration across movements. Ultimately, HVF promotes sustainable solutions, fosters stronger feminist movements, and ensures that advocacy for women’s rights continues to grow in impact and scale across the Global South.
