About the Fellowship

Fellows also attend the Contemplative Leadership Assembly, an immersive experience fostering personal growth and networking. With no funding for projects, the program focuses on personal development and creating a global community of leaders dedicated to sustainable social change.
Who can Apply?
The Dalai Lama Fellows program is open to individuals aged 20-36 years as of April 1, 2025, with a commitment to a social change project. Applicants should be fluent in English and engaged in a social innovation project, either ongoing or planned. A deep understanding of the community or issue they aim to address is essential, along with at least one year of experience working within the community. Applicants must show an interest in contemplative practices and be committed to participating in the full program, including online learning and group calls. The fellowship is designed for individuals, not teams, and applicants are expected to engage in 12 hours of program activities each month.
