About the Grant
The WCRF Regular Grant Programme is designed to support innovative research that investigates the role of diet, nutrition, and physical activity in cancer prevention and survivorship. The grants are open to researchers worldwide (except in the Americas) and are available under two categories: Investigator-Initiated Grants and Pilot/Feasibility Grants. The funding is up to £500,000 for Investigator-Initiated Grants and £60,000 for Pilot Grants, with project durations of 4 years and 2 years, respectively. The research can focus on the mechanisms behind how lifestyle factors influence cancer risk or on factors affecting cancer survivors’ outcomes after diagnosis, aiming to fill gaps in existing evidence.

Lead applicants must hold a research position at a recognized institution for the entire duration of the proposed project. Eligible institutions are located anywhere in the world except in the Americas (North, Central, and South America, including the Caribbean). Research themes include cancer prevention or survivorship, with a focus on the effects of diet, nutrition, and physical activity on cancer outcomes.
