About the Grant
The Bayer Foundation Women Entrepreneurs Award is designed to support women-led enterprises working towards sustainable solutions in health and food security. The program aims to identify and empower 15 exceptional women entrepreneurs from Asia Pacific, Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East who are driving impactful change.
Winners of this prestigious award will receive €25,000 in cash support, access to a six-month accelerator program, and visibility through branded communication activities. Additionally, they will benefit from a sponsored trip to the award ceremony and gain access to the Bayer Foundation alumni network as well as the Impact Hub Network community.
The grant specifically targets solutions that enhance healthcare accessibility, improve food security, and promote sustainable agricultural practices. Key focus areas include healthcare payment options, digital health technologies, disease prevention, food waste reduction, and equitable access to nutrition and clean water.
This award provides a unique opportunity for women entrepreneurs to elevate their businesses, gain critical funding, and receive the mentorship and exposure needed to expand their impact on global health and food security challenges.
Who can Apply?
This grant is open to women entrepreneurs leading businesses focused on health and food security in emerging economies. To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Leadership Requirement: The applicant must be a woman in a leadership position (co-founder, CEO, or C-level executive). Other leadership roles may be held by males.
- Sustainable Business Model: The business must have a revenue-generating model and not rely solely on grants, donations, or subsidies.
- Impact-Driven Solutions: The enterprise should develop accessible solutions for low- and middle-income communities in the fields of health or food security.
- Regional Focus: The business must operate in Africa, Asia Pacific (excluding Australia & New Zealand), Latin America, or the Middle East. Registration in these regions is preferred.
- Revenue Cap: The business should generate annual revenue of up to $500,000 USD.
- Social Commitment: The entrepreneur should demonstrate strong personal drive and a commitment to creating social impact, especially in overcoming obstacles in life.
How to Apply?
Interested applicants can apply by submitting their application form with details about their business, impact model, and vision. The process involves outlining the enterprise’s mission, financial sustainability, and its contribution to health or food security in emerging economies.

Grant Amount
Each selected entrepreneur will receive €25,000 in financial support along with additional benefits such as mentorship, networking, and visibility opportunities.
