About Organisation
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is a global leader in advancing development initiatives that promote sustainable growth and human well-being. In collaboration with RTI International and other partners, USAID supports the Enhancing Nutrition Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, and Learning in the Health Sector Activity (NuMERAL). This 5-year program, running from 2023 to 2028, addresses evidence gaps to enhance nutrition and early childhood development outcomes. NuMERAL engages with health leaders, policymakers, and researchers to strengthen policies and programs that improve nutrition and health systems on local, regional, and global levels.
About the Grant
The NuMERAL program seeks to advance innovative research and learning approaches in nutrition and early childhood development. The grant supports studies that address key challenges in mainstreaming nutrition within health services, integrating responsive caregiving into policies, and improving assessments of micronutrient deficiencies. It fosters partnerships to generate and apply evidence that strengthens health and nutrition systems. Successful applicants will engage in research activities such as process evaluations, longitudinal studies, or quality assurance initiatives. By supporting these efforts, the program aims to enhance policies and foster collaboration for improved health and nutrition outcomes globally.
