Each team member is a founder of impactful projects or organizations, highlighting their deep commitment and leadership in creating change. Thrive Philanthropy is led by a CEO who brings 15 years of specialization in philanthropy focused on vegan food systems and animal advocacy. The organization stands firmly behind initiatives that foster plant-based food systems and challenge industrial animal agriculture practices. With a core belief in sustainable, just, and compassionate food systems, Thrive Philanthropy supports grassroots and community-led efforts to transform the global food landscape.

About the Grant

The Thrive Seed Grant is designed to support impactful initiatives outside the United States that are actively working to build just, plant-based food systems. This grant aims to fund efforts that challenge industrial animal agriculture, reduce animal consumption, and promote the adoption of healthy, vegan diets. Thrive Philanthropy recognizes the need for systemic change in global food systems and seeks to uplift projects that align with their mission of justice, sustainability, and compassion. The grant supports projects that are grassroots in nature and community-focused, offering a crucial financial push to innovative and mission-aligned initiatives. While funding opportunities are competitive, Thrive Philanthropy prioritizes projects that are led by organizations with a strong track record and a positive standing within their local communities. Who can Apply?

Organizations eligible for the Thrive Seed Grant must be based outside the United States and not affiliated as international chapters of U.S.-based entities. Proposals should focus on reducing animal consumption, challenging industrial animal agriculture, or advocating for nutritious vegan diets to build just, plant-based food systems. Eligible applicants must be non-profit organizations with annual budgets under $500,000 USD. They must also demonstrate a positive and trustworthy reputation among stakeholders and the communities they serve. Thrive Philanthropy values alignment with their safespace policy and is committed to partnering with organizations that contribute to an inclusive and respectful global philanthropic environment. For-profit entities are not eligible for this grant. Strong candidates are those that can not only showcase measurable impact through their past work but also align deeply with Thrive’s mission of food justice, plant-based advocacy, and ethical transformation of food systems.

How to Apply?

Interested organizations must submit their proposals before the designated deadline. The application process involves reviewing the eligibility criteria, aligning with the grant’s mission, and submitting through the official process by 11:59 pm GMT on the listed dates.

Proposals must be submitted by 11:59 pm GMT on 1 June, 1 September, or 1 December of each year.
