About the Grant
The India-UK PACT urban planning and mobility Call for Proposals is designed to fund projects that integrate climate considerations into urban planning, governance, and delivery in Erode and Thoothukudi. The grant aims to support initiatives that develop climate-integrated strategies, enhance data-driven decision-making, and improve access to climate finance. Each selected project will align with government policies and provide tangible benefits to local communities, contributing to sustainable urban development and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Funding of up to £500,000 per project is available for implementation over 23 months, fostering long-term resilience against climate impacts.
Who can Apply?
Eligible applicants include consortia comprising think tanks, consultancies, NGOs, and research institutions with relevant expertise. Both profit and non-profit organizations can apply, provided all projects are conducted on a not-for-profit basis. Each consortium must include at least one local partner familiar with the project area, though they do not have to be the lead organization. Public entities, government agencies, and departments are ineligible to participate as leads or partners. Applicants must demonstrate the ability to deliver against emerging demands within the identified scope and have a clear understanding of local contexts.

Interested applicants must submit a competitive proposal by completing the required templates, including a technical proposal and budget plan. After submission, applicants will receive a link to upload their application pack.
