About the Grant
Each year, Imminent dedicates $100,000 in funding to support five innovative and original research projects through its annual grant program. The initiative aims to back those who share Imminent’s vision of a multilingual world where communication is seamless and inclusive. Each selected project receives $20,000 to be used over the course of one year, supporting groundbreaking research at the intersection of language, technology, and society.
The grants are intended to explore advanced areas within language services, with a focus on five thematic fields: Language Economics, Language Data, Machine Learning Algorithms for Translation, Human-Computer Interaction, and the Neuroscience of Language. Projects can be rooted in any discipline, as long as they contribute meaningfully to the future of multilingual understanding and accessibility.
The selected projects will be evaluated and chosen by a panel of leading experts in the field. Imminent releases 50% of the grant amount upon signing the agreement, while the remaining 50% is awarded after submission and review of the final report. Two milestone review meetings will be scheduled during the project’s duration to track progress and ensure alignment with the research goals. These meetings can be conducted remotely, allowing for global participation and collaboration.
