About the Grant
The Illuminating Climate Solutions Program supports powerful storytelling projects focused on climate resilience and solutions. In partnership with The Climate Pledge, the initiative funds storytellers who can highlight real-world responses to climate change through compelling narratives. The program encourages stories that go beyond data to showcase human experiences, innovations, and community-led solutions. Selected participants become part of a global network of Explorers producing impactful work that influences policymakers, businesses, and communities. The grant promotes solution-driven storytelling across themes such as energy transition, nature-based solutions, climate adaptation, and sustainable development.
Who can Apply?
The program is open to storytellers, journalists, filmmakers, and media professionals worldwide who have experience working in the communities they aim to represent. Applicants must demonstrate a strong portfolio of previous media or storytelling work and should have established relationships with local stakeholders or organizations. Priority is given to individuals who bring authentic, community-driven perspectives to climate issues. Applicants must submit their proposals in English and clearly outline the impact and evaluation plan of their project. Both existing members and new applicants can apply, provided they meet the program’s storytelling and experience requirements.
How to Apply?
Applicants must submit their proposals through the official online application portal. All submissions should be completed in English and include detailed project plans, budgets, and a portfolio of previous work. The applicant must be listed as the project leader and can submit only one proposal. Selected candidates will join the Explorer Community and gain access to additional resources, tools, and training opportunities.
