About Organisation

DST-iTBI-VLIIF-GADVASU is an Inclusive Technology Business Incubator established at Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU), Ludhiana. This initiative is sponsored by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, to foster innovation and entrepreneurship in the dairy sector. The Incubation Centre is part of the Veterinary Livestock Innovation and Incubation Foundation (VLIIF) and specifically focuses on advancing the milk and dairy products industry, including farm management. It provides a nurturing environment for startups and innovators by offering access to infrastructure, mentorship, and funding opportunities. The center aims to serve as a catalyst for technological advancements, commercial viability, and sustainable development in dairy production and processing, thus contributing to the overall improvement of livestock and agricultural entrepreneurship in India.

Who can Apply?

The Ignition Grant is open to a diverse range of applicants, including aspiring entrepreneurs, early-stage startups, individual innovators, and research teams working on milk and dairy-based innovations. Applicants should have a clear and scalable idea addressing issues in milk production, processing, quality enhancement, distribution, or farm management. Preference will be given to proposals that demonstrate technical feasibility, social relevance, and market potential. Applicants must be Indian citizens or Indian-registered entities. Existing startups should be in the pre-revenue or early-revenue stage. Academic institutions and researchers with a strong commercialization plan are also encouraged to apply. Prior experience in the dairy or agriculture sector is an advantage but not mandatory.

Grant Amount
Selected applicants may receive funding support ranging from ₹1 lakh to ₹10 lakhs, based on the scope, potential, and stage of the proposed innovation.
