About Organisation
Civil Rights Defenders seeks proposals from global actors for the EU-subsidized “Making Justice Work” initiative. Aiming to fight impunity for severe human rights abuses, this system supports inclusive justice and responsibility. A consortium led by FIDH implements this attempt.
- This call seeks tasks that deal with the below-explored areas within transitional justice, promoting a holistic method to justice and duty for severe human rights violations.
Proposals have to align with one or greater of the following objectives:
- Enhancement of proper-holder organization and participation in both formal and informal justice processes, consisting of sufferers, survivors, and civil society companies.
- Strengthening the effectiveness of accountability frameworks and structures to fight impunity and make certain victim-targeted, trauma-informed, and gender-transformative justice.
About the Grant
Grants range from €30,000 to €60,000, with exceptions up to €80,000 for unique needs. CSOs can apply multiple instances, however, general funding can’t exceed €60,000 (or €80,000). Grant amounts are decided case-by-case based totally on mission needs. Projects have to be final in 6-18 months, with minor timeline changes allowed.
Who can Apply?
To be eligible for funding, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a registered Civil Society Organization (CSO), together with those working in exile. While registration is preferred, non-registered CSOs can also be considered.
- Be installed as a non-earnings entity with a clear mandate or strategic recognition of fighting impunity.
- Demonstrate energetic involvement in shaping judicial processes, attractive to choice-makers on issues of impunity, and/or running on complete justice and duty techniques.
- Possess the essential capacity and readiness to successfully control the requested economic guide and to provide complete reports on its usage and effect.
