About Organisation
FIND is dedicated to improving access to reliable diagnostic solutions globally, striving to bridge significant testing gaps that expose populations to preventable diseases. Through partnerships with countries, the World Health Organization (WHO), and various global health agencies, FIND enhances disease surveillance and builds resilient health systems. As a WHO Collaborating Centre for Laboratory Strengthening and Diagnostic Technology Evaluation, FIND focuses on advancing health security and achieving universal health coverage. The organization’s commitment to equitable healthcare aims to empower underserved communities, particularly in low-resource settings, by facilitating access to essential diagnostic tools that can significantly improve health outcomes for all.
About the Grant
This grant focuses on advancing research and development for women’s health diagnostics in the Global South, specifically targeting Africa, South Asia, and Southeast Asia. Despite progress in healthcare, there are notable gaps in diagnostic solutions addressing women’s unique health needs. This initiative aims to develop context-specific diagnostic innovations for conditions disproportionately affecting women, including reproductive disorders and maternal health issues. The grant emphasizes collaborative partnerships to leverage local research capacities and create scalable diagnostic tools tailored to underserved populations. By addressing these critical gaps, FIND seeks to enhance women’s health outcomes and contribute to equitable healthcare access in these regions.
Who can Apply?
Eligible applicants for this grant include manufacturers, biotechnology companies, academic institutions, and developers engaged in diagnostic research and development aimed at women’s health. Submissions should be made in English or French, and the primary emphasis is on in vitro diagnostic devices, imaging solutions, and non-invasive diagnostics suitable for low-resource settings. Organizations outside these regions can apply if they collaborate with local stakeholders. Mobile health solution developers and distributors are not eligible to apply.
