PRM coordinates humanitarian policy and diplomacy, provides life-sustaining assistance, and collaborates with multilateral organizations to enhance global partnerships. The bureau prioritizes initiatives that improve humanitarian response practices, promote best standards, and ensure the well-being of displaced populations, including refugees and conflict victims. PRM’s approach includes advocacy, strategic funding, and fostering inter-agency coordination to strengthen the global humanitarian system. The bureau’s core mission is to ease suffering and find sustainable solutions for vulnerable populations through targeted programs that align with international humanitarian standards.
About the Grant
PRM invites submissions for innovative initiatives in preventing and responding to gender-based violence (GBV). This grant focuses on improving the accessibility and quality of GBV services for women, girls, and survivors worldwide. Priority will be given to programs that contribute to a broader evidence base, build on current humanitarian standards, and enhance inter-agency coordination. PRM funds projects where at least 50% of participants are refugees, ensuring alignment with its core mandate of assisting displaced populations. The grant encourages collaborative approaches, allowing organizations to apply as consortia comprising at least three entities. Funded initiatives should align with global best practices and frameworks, including the IASC’s Guidelines for GBV Interventions in Humanitarian Settings and the Inter-Agency Minimum Standards for GBV in Emergencies.
