The program offers a unique opportunity for fellows to work alongside experts in the field, engage in cutting-edge research, and develop solutions to ensure that AI technologies benefit humanity while minimizing potential harms. Fellows will gain exposure to the global AI safety network, building connections that will support their future careers.
About the Grant
The Global AI Safety Fellowship 2025 is designed to provide in-depth, hands-on experience in AI safety research, offering a 3-6 month placement with partner organizations across the US, UK, or Canada. Fellows will collaborate directly with leading researchers and work on high-impact, complex problems in the field of AI safety. The fellowship includes financial support to cover living expenses and research costs, comprehensive mentorship, and coaching, as well as access to a specialized AI safety boot camp. The program is open to candidates globally, with the aim of fostering diversity and inclusivity in the field. Fellows will have the chance to work on important AI safety projects while building foundational knowledge in this critical area. The fellowship will also open doors for continued full-time opportunities with partner organizations for those who perform exceptionally well during the placement. By joining this program, fellows will help shape the future of AI safety, contributing to the research needed to address the evolving challenges posed by advanced AI systems.
