About the Grant
The GAP Fund Agroecology Grant 2026 is designed to support enterprises working in agroecology-based value chains across India. Managed by ACCESS on behalf of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), the program aims to promote sustainable production systems and strengthen agroecological businesses. It focuses on identifying viable opportunities within agroecology clusters and supporting them through financial assistance, technical guidance, and ecosystem support. The grant enables enterprises to scale operations, improve efficiency, and enhance environmental outcomes. By supporting innovative business models, the initiative contributes to building resilient food systems and improving livelihoods for small producers across the country.
Who can Apply?
The grant is open to Producer Organization Enterprises (POEs) such as Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), cooperatives, and producer groups, as well as Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) operating in agroecology value chains. Eligible applicants must be registered entities with viable business models focused on sustainable agriculture. Startups and individual entrepreneurs linked to agroecology are also encouraged to apply. Non-profit organizations may support applications but cannot apply directly. Projects must demonstrate strong potential for scalability, environmental sustainability, and positive impact on smallholder farmers. The program is open to applicants across India, ensuring wide geographic participation.
How to Apply?
Applicants must submit a concept note outlining their business model, impact, and scalability potential. The proposal should clearly demonstrate alignment with agroecology value chains and sustainable practices. Applications must be submitted before the deadline through the designated process.
