About the Grant
The Climate Intervention Environmental Impact Fund empowers researchers working to counter climate change by providing grants to support predictive environmental assessments, impact modeling, and stakeholder engagement for small-scale field tests of new technologies. The grant focuses on fostering innovative climate solutions that can be responsibly scaled to generate meaningful environmental benefits. Technologies must demonstrate potential for transformative climate impact, excluding stratospheric Solar Radiation Management (SRM) and Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage (CCUS) or Direct Air Capture (DAC) due to other existing funding avenues. CIEIF reviews applications meticulously, prioritizing projects with robust environmental assessments and inclusive stakeholder collaboration.
Who can Apply?
This grant is open to qualified investigators worldwide who are advancing innovative climate intervention technologies nearing the field-testing phase. Applicants must demonstrate expertise in predictive Environmental Impact Assessments, modeling studies, or stakeholder engagement. Grant proposals should explicitly detail how $75,000 will be allocated to these three focus areas: environmental impact assessments, predictive modeling, and engagement with impacted stakeholders, including communities and government bodies. Projects must exclude technologies involving stratospheric Solar Radiation Management (SRM) or CCUS/DAC due to pre-existing funding opportunities in those areas. Only proposals that align with these criteria will be considered for funding.
