About Organisation
The CrossCulture Programme (CCP) supports 55 to 60 dedicated professionals and volunteers from over 40 countries through its Fellowship initiative. Participants engage in two to three-month placements with host organisations in Germany or partner countries, enhancing their expertise, intercultural skills, and professional networks. Host organisations benefit from the diverse knowledge and regional insights that CCP Fellows bring. The programme also offers cross-cultural workshops, networking events, and professional meetings, ensuring that the experience gained is applied back in the Fellows’ home organisations. The CCP Fellowships for 2025 will be primarily conducted on-site, with the option for digital participation based on individual circumstances and travel regulations. Funding is provided by the German Federal Foreign Office.
About the Grant
The CCP Fellowship aims to empower civil society actors by facilitating collaboration with host organisations within the CCP network. This initiative includes mentoring for the duration of the Fellowship, professional development opportunities—both online and in-person—, and networking with other Fellowship holders. Additionally, participants focusing on the CCP’s 2025 key topics will have the opportunity to attend an extra event. The programme encompasses various subjects, including policy, media, human rights, sustainable development, and climate justice, and will highlight themes such as culture of remembrance and gender diversity in 2025. Participants from abroad will receive a monthly stipend of €650, while those from Germany will receive €1,200 per month during the Fellowship. Other costs covered include round-trip airfare, accommodation, health insurance, and visa fees.
Who can Apply?
Eligible applicants must be at least 23 years old at the time of application and have a minimum of two years of professional or volunteer experience in a civil society organisation. A good command of written and spoken English is required, along with the ability to undertake an extended stay abroad. Candidates should ideally have long-term community commitment and existing or planned collaboration with a host organisation. Additional language skills, particularly German, are desirable. The Fellowship is aimed at professionals working in relevant fields such as policy, media, human rights, and sustainable development.
