DBS Foundation, the corporate foundation of DBS Bank, is committed to fostering positive social change by supporting impactful businesses across Asia. Since 2015, the Foundation has disbursed over SGD 21.5 million in grant funding to more than 160 social enterprises (SEs) and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). These funds have helped businesses scale their models, expand their reach, and deepen their impact in communities that need it the most. The Foundation actively nurtures a robust community of “Businesses for Impact,” aiming to create lasting improvements in society. With a mission to enable inclusive growth and improve lives, DBS Foundation supports innovative solutions that address pressing social challenges, such as access to basic needs and financial inclusion. The Foundation continues to strengthen its impact footprint by focusing on sustainable and purpose-driven enterprises that empower vulnerable communities and enhance overall resilience.
About the Grant
The DBS Foundation Grant is the flagship funding initiative designed to scale up promising social enterprises and SMEs across Asia. From 2024 onward, the grant has sharpened its focus on supporting innovative business models that make the world more inclusive and equitable. It is aimed at businesses that create meaningful social impact through solutions that address essential needs or promote financial inclusion. Grantees are selected not only for their innovation and potential for scale but also for their ability to create enduring change in vulnerable populations. Whether it’s improving access to food, education, mental or physical healthcare, or enhancing employability through digital and financial literacy, the grant helps amplify their work. Alongside funding, selected enterprises also receive non-financial support, such as capacity building and networking opportunities, to help them accelerate growth and sustainability. The grant thus serves as both a financial and strategic catalyst for mission-driven businesses seeking to transform lives across various life stages, ensuring individuals age with dignity, purpose, and joy.
Who can Apply?
The DBS Foundation Grant is open to innovative businesses committed to improving the lives of underserved communities. Ideal applicants include social enterprises and SMEs that are creating positive, measurable impact in Asia. Eligible businesses should operate in sectors addressing essential needs, such as access to food, nutrition, education, healthcare, and mental wellness. Additionally, businesses that work to foster financial and digital inclusion through education, literacy, and upskilling are also encouraged to apply.
