About the Grant

The FY25 Cultural Property Agreement Implementation Grants aim to protect cultural heritage in 30 countries where the U.S. has bilateral cultural property agreements or emergency import restrictions. These grants support efforts to safeguard archaeological and ethnological materials from illegal trafficking, enhance cultural preservation, and build capacity for protection efforts. With funding for innovative projects, this grant contributes to global cultural heritage protection while strengthening international collaboration and adherence to the Cultural Property Implementation Act.

Who can Apply?

Eligible applicants include U.S. and foreign higher education institutions, foreign organizations, public entities, and U.S.-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations. Applicants from 30 eligible countries, including India, are encouraged to apply. Organizations should demonstrate expertise in cultural preservation and project implementation relevant to the grant’s objectives.

How to Apply?

All application materials must be submitted via email to the U.S. embassy’s designated address. Applicants in India must obtain a Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) and register with SAM.gov to ensure eligibility. Organizations without employees in the U.S. are exempt from obtaining an EIN but must complete SAM.gov registration.
