About the Grant
The RFP – Elderly Care Grant Program invites proposals for projects aimed at transforming old-age homes or institutional elder-care facilities in India. The initiative seeks to enhance living conditions, promote dignity, and improve service standards for senior citizens. Funding is available for two to three year projects designed to refurbish infrastructure, upgrade care services, strengthen administration, and embed practices that support holistic ageing. Grant requests must fall between ₹5 million and ₹20 million. Projects should demonstrate measurable improvements in quality of life for the elderly, operational sustainability, and systematic integration into local ecosystems of care.
Who can Apply?
Eligible applicants are Indian non-profit organisations (NGOs or trusts) that have been registered and operational in India, with proven track records in community development or elderly care. Organisations should have experience managing institutional care, supporting senior citizens, or delivering related services. Applicants must submit audited financial statements, governance documentation, and a clear project plan aligned with elder-care improvement objectives. Proposals must be for new interventions or significant enhancements rather than routine maintenance. Collaborative partnerships with care facilities, government agencies or other stakeholders are encouraged, but the lead applicant must retain primary responsibility for project delivery.
How to Apply?
Interested organisations must complete the online application process through the SBI Foundation portal, submitting a detailed project proposal, budget, governance documents, audited accounts, and relevant certifications. Ensure that your submission meets the RFP’s format and eligibility criteria before the deadline.
Application Deadline
Applications must be submitted by the specified date outlined in the RFP (Oct 31, 2025).
