About Organisation

Alstom Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Alstom, a global leader in sustainable mobility. Since 2007, the Foundation has partnered with local NGOs and community organisations to improve living conditions and drive sustainable development near Alstom’s sites worldwide. It supports projects that address community needs in economic and social development, environmental protection, access to mobility, and access to energy and water. Projects are developed jointly with Alstom employees and local partners to ensure positive, measurable impact that enhances quality of life and environmental resilience.

About the Grant

The Alstom Foundation Project Grant 2026 invites NGOs to submit proposals for community-driven initiatives that align with the Foundation’s four key focus areas: economic and social development, environmental protection, access to mobility, and access to energy and water. The grant supports projects that are beneficial to the general interest, measurable in impact, realistic in scope, and executable with local stakeholder involvement. Projects should improve local livelihoods, advance sustainability, or expand essential services in communities where Alstom operates. Each project is expected to demonstrate clear outcomes and be implemented by a competent partner organisation with strong local engagement.

Who can Apply?

Eligible applicants are registered non-governmental organisations (NGOs) operating in countries where Alstom has an active presence. Projects must align with at least one of the Foundation’s focus areas, be beneficial to local communities, and include measurable outcomes. Applications must be submitted jointly with an Alstom employee serving as a Project Promoter based in the same country as the project implementation. Each NGO may submit only one project, and projects should be realistic, feasible within budget and timelines, involve local stakeholders, and comply with the Alstom Foundation’s Ethics Charter. Requests to help find a Project Promoter must be submitted by mid-March 2026.

How to Apply?

Organisations must prepare a detailed project proposal using the Foundation’s online submission tool, which opens on 16 February 2026. Proposals are completed through guided preformatted forms that capture project details, objectives, and impact. Each submission must be validated by an Alstom employee acting as Project Promoter. Drafts can be saved and edited before final submission. An email confirmation is sent once the submission is complete and entered into the selection process.

Application Deadline

The application deadline is 20 November 2024.
